Speak To Me Of This
This is just one example of my poetry. Do not 'type-cast' this style of poetry-composition by thinking it is the ONLY fashion I compose. I am able to write a poem instantly, for ALL occasions, and for all needs.
Dear girl,
Speak to me of laughter instead of tears; For dwelling within the gaiety of laughter is a lightness of spirit.
Speak to me of triumphs rather than troubles; Your listeners will take heed of successes, but turn aside from woes.
Speak to me of contentments found, in a chaotic life; It is the rare person who chooses calmness before the storm.
Speak to me of learning, against all odds; Knowledge bestows strength, and the wisdom to use strength for the good.
Speak to me of kindness not hatred; Planting a seed of kindness spreads tendrils of warmth, but planting a seed of hatred rots the soul.
Last of all dear girl, speak to me of love; Speak to me of moonlit nights and stolen kisses. Speak to me of heartbreaks and heartaches and tearstained pillows; Yet as you do, let me look upon your face, for there I will see the meaning of love.
If you have loved and have been loved, your life was not in vain; Please dear girl, speak to me of that.
