Hello Internet friends!
My name is Elizabeth and I live in Twillingate, Newfoundland, Canada. Twillingate is an extremely scenic town, and it’s privy to hundreds of tourists from all parts of the world, every summer. I love meeting people from all over, and it’s been a unique opportunity for me, because a lot of the tourists like to take lunch on my property. I live very close to the ocean, and the water acts like a beacon to so many of them. I welcome them all, and have chatted to lots of odd sounding accents. It’s great.
For the greater part of my life, I have been in love with the written word. It is a joy and pleasure for me to compose short stories, poetry, greeting card salutations, birth announcements, anniversary roasts, retirement speeches and just about anything else one can think of, for friends and family alike. I realize I have a natural talent for writing, and in turn it wasn't long before everyone else knew it also, and came running to me for help.
I have for many years considered building a website where I could be of help to many others. Writing proper grammatical English is so easy, it had not occurred to me that everyone else could not do it also. Composing sentences and correcting displaced errors is as uncomplicated as breathing is, to myself. Many of my friends have enlightened me to the fact that this is NOT the case for them.
Hence, www.englishwithelizabeth.com was born. What-ever your English woes and headaches may be, I have the prescription for your cure! Send me your rough drafts, and I shall cause them to shine and sparkle with impeccable English manners!
Sincerely, Elizabeth Earle
